Napp
A regenerative rest app built from the ground up to help people unlock the physical, emotional, and cognitive benefits of naps.
STRATEGY
Napp is designed to tackle a common modern challenge: lack of sleep and rising stress levels.
In fast-paced lives filled with endless to-do lists, people often sacrifice rest to get more done, only to feel more drained, unfocused, and less productive. Research shows that short naps can restore performance and overall wellbeing.
Our strategy was to design a smart nap assistant that makes restorative rest accessible, backed by science, and habit-forming.
Key strategic decisions included:
- Designing a guided learning journey: Napp doesn’t just provide rest, it also teaches users how to nap better over time, turning napping into a skill.
- Dual product model: A mobile app for everyday guided sessions and a VR version for fully immersive, sensory rest experiences.
- Personalisation: Adaptive nap scheduling, customizable soundscapes, and user-preference-driven environments.
-
Meaningful progress tracking: Cognitive, physical, and emotional metrics to show users how consistent practice leads to lasting benefits.
We set the foundations for initial funding by creating a strong brand, strategy, website design, mobile and VR prototypes, and an investor pitch deck, all aligned with Napp’s mission: to help people feel and perform better through regenerative rest.
BRAND
At the pre-seed stage, building a strong brand was crucial for inspiring confidence, attracting early adopters, and engaging investors.
PRODUCT
We thoughtfully designed the user experience for both the VR and mobile app. The VR experience was developed in Unity and went through several testing and redesign phases. We also created a website to showcase the product and its potential.
TRACTION
We laid the foundations for growth by launching a website to build early trust, developing mobile and VR prototypes to validate the concept, and creating an investor pitch deck that supported Napp’s first steps towards securing funding.
